School Hours
The morning session in the Foundation Stage begins at 9.00am and finishes at 11.30am and the afternoon session begins at 12.45pm and finishes at 3.15pm The Infant and Junior day begins promptly at 8.55am and finishes at 3.00 pm. Children should not be on the yard earlier than 8.45am.

Security
School security is of paramount importance and we appreciate your support in following procedures. The pedestrian gate is open from 8.00am for breakfast club and is locked at 9.10am until 2.55pm. Access at all other times is via the intercom system connected to the office. The car park gates remained locked at all times, and for safety reasons, parents/carers are requested not to use it.

Attendance and Punctuality
It is vital your child has very good attendance and punctuality if they are going to make good progress. The school has a number of initiatives to promote good attendance and punctuality, including certificates and other rewards. If your child is going to be absent you must inform school on the first day of absence. A signed note from the parent/carer explaining all absences must be sent to school when your child returns. Holidays in term time will only be authorised by the headteacher in exceptional circumstances. All unauthorised absences are reported to the Attendance Welfare Officer.

School Dinners
All meals are prepared on the school premises. There is a daily selection of hot and cold meals and a vegetarian option. Children can also bring a packed lunch. We have been awarded ‘Healthy Schools’ status and would ask you to support us in promoting a healthy diet. Dinner money is paid weekly, each Monday.

Free School Meals
Application forms for free school meals and clothing allowance are available from the school office. At no time are children who qualify for free school meals openly identified.
