We have arrived and so the adventure begins…..
We’ve arrived! The journey took us about an hour. The radio was playing and their was lots of excitement regarding all of the activities we will be getting up to. The children have viewed their rooms, had lunch (pizza!) and are out on their first activity! Keep checking this page, as we’ll keep you posted throughout the day with more updates!
Day One
Monday, 17th January 2022
Today, the children have taken part in a number of activities including the high ropes, crate challenge, night line, dungeon, zip wire, piranha pool, climbing adventure and team challenge! Not only has it been so much fun but the children have demonstrated the following qualities throughout the day in every activity they have taken part in: cooperation, listening, problem solving, respect, communication and encouragement. Time for tea and team challenges...
The food was delicious and gratefully received by our very hungry children. Our end of the day activity ‘Team Challenges’ saw all of the children come together for an evening of fun and engaging challenges verses their teachers….very competitive! The first game had the children playing friendly fortunes which involved them having to guess the results of surveys, in which 100 people were asked a series of open-ended questions. For the next game, the teams played a game of picture picture with them attempting to recreate a picture as perfectly as possible by communicating a description from person to person. Finally, each team were given an object to come up with an alternative use, Dragon’s Den style. The groups had to give a sales pitch of their new invention to the group and teachers!

What a fantastic first day we have had. All of the children have been delightful…Robinwood staff have been amazing and the activities have left all the children ready for bed…zzzzzz…
Day Two
Tuesday, 18th January 2022
This morning we started the day with a fully cooked breakfast before going off into our groups and taking part in a number of new activities including archery, the giant swing, caving, trapeze and the quest!
Time for tea and team challenges…
Tonight’s challenges had the children working together to build a wobbly tower of cups, ‘banking’ the highest score possible before the tower falls. Playing pong…a real test of skill and accuracy when working under pressure (and a little bit of luck!) and finally a dance competition… playing songs of different genres and seeing who can strut their stuff in the most entertaining way!
Day Three
Wednesday, 19th January 2022
It’s our last day but we still have so much to fit in! For Crag group we have canoeing, high ropes and the crate challenge and for the Mountain group we have archery, quest and climbing.
Time to go!
It is time to say farewell to Robinwood and all their brilliant staff. We have had the best time and will forever have amazing memories of our time together. Our estimated time of arrival is approx. 2.40pm. See you all soon.
