At Childwall Valley Primary School, we use science as an opportunity to bestow a sense of investigation and enquiry on the children. Our curriculum gives them the chance to take the lead in their learning and to develop the skills needed to question scientific enquiries using their own ideas.

From starting in EYFS, to leaving in Year 6, our pupils follow the program of learning set out in the national curriculum. This covers subjects from living things, to forces and natural processes. Through all of these areas, the children learn the applicable skills needed to question the concepts from a scientific viewpoint as well as the confidence to choose an appropriate investigation style to test their hypothesis.
