At Childwall Valley we recognise that children come to school with a variety of needs. Each child has the right to have those needs recognised and met. By recognising those needs and differentiating our resources and practice we aim to give all children access to the National Curriculum.

If you have any concerns regarding Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) please contact Mrs L Merrison or Mrs Bibby

Family Liaison Officer

Our FLO is an internal support network who can provide support for both children and families. Miss Gregory can help with housing issues, debt management, supporting behaviour at home, school attendance and general early help around the family. If you would like to speak to Miss Gregory or arrange a meeting please contact the school on 0151 722 2544.

What parents are saying…

“SEN is amazing, they have always gone above & beyond for my son whilst helping & guiding me through the process too.”

The best things about Childwall Valley Primary School - “SLT and all the new mental health and SEN implementations.”

“The teachers listen and are very helpful when you have a problem. The Senco is excellent and I love there is a sensory room now and Fort Henry is great.”

“All the activities that are available for the children and I think the new sensory room will be amazing for the kids!”

“The school are absolutely amazing, they support all of us as a disabled family, providing everything the children need and allowing myself as a disabled mum to be involved as much as possible, thank you so very much .”

“Can’t thank the school enough, especially the SEN team for the support they have given me & my son. From picking up on the traits & actioning referrals to outside bodies which led to my son’s diagnosis. Prior to his diagnosis they put in place a lot of tools to help him in his school life, whilst supporting me with knowledge & a listening ear.”

By providing individualised support, which helps them to understand their differences and value their strengths, we help each child we work alongside to find their own path and achieve their ambitions. For us, this starts with education, whether that be at school or through flexible education and work experience in the community.”
